About HEPF
What is HEPF:
Health and Environment Promotion Forum (HEPF) a non-govt. organization (NGO), was founded in 1999. It is registered with Social Welfare Dept. of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (Regt. No. DHA 05016).
Background of HEPF:
At the beginning of 21st century health for all slogan is much away from reaching its goal. Because a vast amount of people is still in need of primary health care in Bangladesh. Nevertheless environment has degraded massively due to deforestation, unplanned organization and industralization. Moreover unplanned combustion of fuel is polluting the air with lead & other toxic trace elements. This picture is common to all cities of Bangladesh. Especially grave situation is created in Dhaka and its adjoining areas. So with this grim context few people of various discipline have come forwarded & formed “Health And Environment Promotion Forum.”
Aims of HEPF?
Its aim is to ensure primary health care for all as well to ensure sound environment, which is essential for sound health. With this view HEPF has divided its activities in two sectors: Health and Environment.
Health and Environment Program Forum (HEPF) established in the year of 1999. Since its formation it is performing activities in the field of Health and Environment sectors on its own fund. It has started outdoor health services at Jigatola, Dhanmondi, Dhaka since 2000 and also started campaign to save rivers from pollution and from land grabbers by publishing leaflet and arranging seminars with the program slogan “Save River, Save Life”. From 2001 it started Training Program for doctors and health professionals. From 2002 it started ultrasound training program (BUTP) for doctors.
According to Government Instruction, HEPF encourages its members to form social business service organizations to enhance its activities. As a result 2004 it standard HEPF SONO providing low cost health care for local people and provided costly equipment for Ultrasound Training Program. In 2004 it “establish Genesis Institute of Medial Ultrasonography & Biology” having affiliation with “Bangladesh Technical Education Board under the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh to provide 6 Month CMU, 1 year DMU program. It started HEPF Dhaka Dental Clinic to provide low cost & effective dental care in Jigatola, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209.

HEPF: Registered with social welfare dept. 2000 Reg. no- Dha-05016
HEPF SONO: Registered Health Organization in Dhaka City Corporation.
Genesis Institute: Affiliated Institute of Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) under Ministry of Education Reg. no-50219 (2004 AD). Dhaka City Corporation authorized venture.
